California man rummaging through garbage arrested on drug charge, deputies say

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 19-year-old California resident on assorted drug charges after they received a call about a suspicious person at a Mohave Valley address. According to the report, deputies arrived at the location on Jan. 16 and found Julio C. Alfaro, of Turlock, rummaging through a waste container at the scene. A records check allegedly showed Alfaro to have a warrant for his arrest, and he was detained. A search of his person yielded a usable quantity of methamphetamine, the report said, as well as a syringe. Alfaro was arrested on charges of possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
