Man arrested on suspicion of strangling girlfriend

A 21-year-old Roseburg man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after he allegedly strangled his girlfriend, according to police.

Police responded to a disturbance in the 2100 block of Northeast Vine Street, Roseburg. After a brief investigation, officers arrested Darion Scott Winkley, 21, on suspicion of strangulation.

He was lodged at the Douglas County Jail in lieu of $6,250 bail.
