BDS wins MUDECAS Championship

The Bruning-Davenport-Shickley Lady Eagles won the 2018 MUDECAS A Division Volleyball Championship Thursday night.

Second-seeded BDS defeated top-seeded Johnson-Brock in straight sets 25-21, 25-21 at the Truman Center in Beatrice.

In the first set, neither team led by more than three points until the end when BDS would finish the set on a 4-0 run to win 25-21.

In the second set, the Eagles built a 19-7 lead, but Johnson-Brock climbed back to within three at 23-20 and again at 24-21. A net serve ended the game, though, and the match.
