A Beatrice man was arrested this week for threatening the use of explosives to blow up a building in Beatrice.

Beatrice police were dispatched to the 1400 block of South Eighth Street on Tuesday for reports that Russell J. Tachovsky, 45, was threatening to blow up Blue Valley Behavioral Health in Beatrice.

Blue Valley employees and the reporting party advised that Tachovsky had called the Blue Valley office in Lincoln five times that day, leaving vulgar voicemails.

He allegedly stated in one of the messages he was going to blow up the Blue Valley in Beatrice.

Court documents state that Tachovsky was relocated to talk with officers and admitted to making the calls and saying he was going to blow up the Beatrice office but denied he meant using explosives. He said the comment was referring to blowing up their phones by calling a lot.
