Gerald Tobak, 69, Beaver Dam

Gerald “Gerry” W. Tobak, 69, Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at Dycora Transitional Health Center in Beaver Dam.

Gerry was born Aug. 11, 1948, in Beaver Dam, son of William and Florence (Stiemsma) Tobak. He graduated from Randolph High School in 1967 and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Air Force. He then worked for Monarch Range Company and then Danly Die in Beaver Dam. Gerry was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his great-grandson, Ethan. He loved the Green Bay Packers, enjoyed camping and taking afternoon naps with his furry companion, Aaliyah.

Gerry is survived by his grandchildren, Ashley (Gerron Griffin) McDonald of Beaver Dam, Tabitha Orley of McFarland, Lewis, Robert and Ricky Schiradelly of South Dakota; great-grandchildren, Ethan, J.R., Jay, Arrea, Brookelyn, Lewis Jr., Colvin and Patrice; sisters, Sandra Rataczak of Sun Prairie and Sharon Cupery of Waupun; brother, Roger Tobak of Sheboygan; sister-in-law, Janice Tobak of Beaver Dam; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Patricia Cramer; his stepdaughter, Amy Jo Orley; stepson, Robert “Bob” Schiradelly; his parents; brother, Walter Tobak; great-grandson, Camron and other relatives.

In honoring his wishes, a private family funeral service will be held at Cornerstone and burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery with graveside military honors presented by American Legion Post 146.
