A former attorney general, the president of the Fraternal Order of Police, and the CEO of the NAACP’s Baltimore chapter will be among those testifying at the Senate confirmation hearing for attorney general nominee William Barr, which starts Tuesday.

All told, nine people will testify at the hearing, according to a witness list released late Monday by the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Among the witnesses are Michael Mukasey, who served as attorney general under President George W. Bush, former Deputy Attorney General Larry D. Thompson, Derrick Johnson, CEO of the NAACP’s Baltimore chapter, and Chuck Canterbury, national president of the Fraternal Order of Police.

Two law professors, Neil J. Kinkopf who teaches at Georgia State University, and Jonathan Turley of George Washington University, will also testify, according to the list.

Mary Kate Cary, a former speechwriter for George H.W. Bush, will also be among the witnesses.

The witness list did not specify which witnesses are testifying on behalf of or against Mr. Barr.
