Central/Eastern A Girls Divisional: Glendive stays alive, defeats Billings Central
The Glendive Red Devils defeated the Billings Central Rams 55-49 in a Central/Eastern A Divisional loser-out game Friday morning at Rimrock Auto Arena at MetraPark.
The Glendive girls are having a tournament to remember. The Red Devils came into the tournament 3-14, but in three days have gone 3-1 to earn a spot in the consolation semifinals.
“We just came together at the right time, I think,” Red Devils senior Taya Torres said. “We’re finally starting to play with each other’s tendencies and know each other’s strengths. It’s working out.”
Carrie Nagle scored 15 points for the Red Devils. Wyniah Mintz and Torres each had 10.
Jillian Hardenbrook had 13 points for the Rams.
Glendive awaits the loser of the Havre-Laurel semifinal in a 10:30 a.m. game on Saturday. Billings Central’s season ends at 10-10.
