Master Gardener programs offered this month, next
BULLHEAD CITY — “How to Prune Non-Citrus Trees and Shrubs” and “Everything You Wanted to Know About Roses” will be the subjects of the Bullhead City Master Gardener Program on Thursday from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. at the Mohave County Library’s Bullhead City branch, 1170 Hancock Road.
Mild January and February temperatures are opportune for pruning. Care and pruning of citrus and other deciduous trees suited for this area will be the focus of February’s Master Gardener class on Feb. 15.
The presentations are free and offered at the library on the third Thursday of each month from September-November and January-May.
The Master Gardeners are residents of Bullhead City, Fort Mohave and Laughlin who have been certified through the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Program. People interested in becoming master gardeners — or simply better gardeners — can start obtaining knowledge about it at Mohave Community College beginning Thursday.
