BOULDER, Colo. (AP) _ Clovis Oncology Inc. (CLVS) on Wednesday reported a loss of $60.2 million in its first quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Boulder, Colorado-based company said it had a loss of 44 cents.

The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 43 cents per share.

The biopharmaceutical company posted revenue of $34.2 million in the period.
