CHICAGO (AP) _ Coeur Mining Inc. (CDE) on Wednesday reported a second-quarter loss of $77.4 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Chicago-based company said it had a loss of 28 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 5 cents per share.
The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was breakeven on a per-share basis.
The silver mining company posted revenue of $204.1 million in the period.
In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, the company’s shares hit $3.04. A year ago, they were trading at $7.36.
