Clemson schedules future football games with The Citadel, Charleston Southern
CLEMSON — Clemson continues to build its football schedules for the future, and all signs point to a pair of Lowcountry teams traveling to Memorial Stadium in the coming years.
According to FBSschedules.com, a website devoted to coverage of college football scheduling, Clemson will host The Citadel in 2020, then again in 2024 before the Tigers match up with Charleston Southern for the first time in 2026.
FBSschedules reports that The Citadel will travel to Clemson on Nov. 14 of 2020, with the Bulldogs making a guaranteed $450,000 from the Tigers. In 2024, the matchup is set for Nov. 23, when The Citadel will make a guaranteed $475,000. The two teams also meet this season, on Nov. 18 at Death Valley.
Clemson and Charleston Southern’s matchup is reportedly set for Nov. 7 of 2026 and the Buccaneers will make a guaranteed $450,000.
On Sept. 11 of 2021, Clemson will host Connecticut. The Huskies are guaranteed to receive $1.2 million.
The Tigers open their 2017 season Saturday, Sept. 2 against Kent State. Below is the full 2017 schedule:
