SHELBY — Kimberlee Paddock, 13, of Shelby, died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018, at Genoa Community Hospital in Genoa as a result of a hunting accident.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at Peace Lutheran Church in Columbus with the Rev. Cory Burma officiating. Interment will be in Shelby Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at Gass Haney Funeral Home in Columbus and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the church. There will be a gathering at the American Legion in Shelby after the burial.
In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials are suggested to the family.
Kimberlee “Kimmee” Paddock was born Nov. 13, 2004, in Osceola to Scott and Mary (Nunez) Paddock. She was currently in the seventh grade at Shelby-Rising City Public Schools where she was active in sports and was a good student. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, 4-wheeling, camping and Raiders football. Kimmee enjoyed reading “historical fiction” and being an aunt, and was a friend to all.
Kimmee is survived by her parents, Scott and Mary Paddock of Shelby; brother, Michael (Denica) Paddock of Shelby; sister, Elizabeth (fiancé Tyler Wildasin) Paddock of Shelby; twin sister, Jaimee Paddock of Shelby; nephew, Landon Paddock of Shelby; nieces, Kenzee and Melanee Paddock and Cienna Wildasin, all of Shelby; grandmother, Lois (fiancé Mike Dombroski) Mallar of Shelby; grandmother, Anita (Keith) Smith of Wellston, Oklahoma; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Kimmee was preceded in death by her grandfather, Theodore Nunez; and uncle, James Frankenburger.
