Local government news & notes: Dec. 9
The first phase of the Interstate 45 North Planning & Environmental Linkages Study (PEL) began this month, according to information from Montgomery County Precinct 3 Commissioner James Noack’s office.
The purpose of the study, which includes a portion of I-45 in Montgomery County and starts at the Harris County line up to Loop 335 South in Conroe, is to identify transportation issues, existing or projected, within the corridor. The goal is to receive public and stakeholder input to find solutions.
The study will last three years and will be broken down into two phases, where Phase I is the data gathering portion and Phase II is developing ideas and alternatives to then address the issues.
