Reports: Norwalk PD investigates shots fired
NORWALK — Police are investigating an incident of shots fired in Norwalk late Saturday night, dispatch reports indicated.
Around 9:40 p.m., Norwalk police received an influx of calls about shots fired in the area of 16 School St. Several city cops responded to the area to investigate and talk to witnesses.
Initially, the area was checking clear for any crime scene or gunshot wound victims. But around 9:50 p.m., an officer said he found multiple shell casings in front of 16 School St. and the Detective Bureau was called, reports indicated.
Westport police responded to the scene to provide assistance to Norwalk officers. Reports indicated police had at least two people detained.
No further information was immediately available late Saturday night.
