Sri Lanka wins toss and bats in 5th ODI vs. South Africa
COLOMBO, Sri Lanka (AP) — Sri Lanka has won the toss and elected to bat first in the fifth and final one-day international against South Africa on Sunday.
South Africa, which already won the five-match series 3-1, made two changes to the side that lost the fourth game in Pallekele last week.
It left out fast bowler Lungi Ngidi and batsman David Miller for Kasigo Rabada and Aiden Markram.
Sri Lanka fielded the same team that won its only match in the series.
Sri Lanka: Niroshan Dickwella, Upul Tharanga, Kusal Mendis, Kusal Perera, Angelo Mathews (captain), Dhananjaya de Silva, Thisara Perera, Dasun Shanaka, Akila Dananjaya, Suranga Lakmal, Lahiru Kumara.
South Africa: Quinton de Kock (captain), Hashim Amla, Aiden Markram, Reeza Hendricks, JP Duminy, Heinrich Klaasen, Andile Phehlukwayo, Wiaan Mulder, Keshav Maharaj, Junior Dala, Kagiso Rabada.
