Employers Holdings: Q1 Earnings Snapshot
RENO, Nev. (AP) _ Employers Holdings Inc. (EIG) on Thursday reported first-quarter net income of $23.1 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
The Reno, Nevada-based company said it had net income of 80 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 51 cents per share.
The provider of workers-compensation insurance posted revenue of $163.6 million in the period.
Employers Holdings shares have climbed 25% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $40.15, a climb of 27% in the last 12 months.
