NORWALK, Conn. (AP) _ Terex Corp. (TEX) on Tuesday reported second-quarter profit of $74.1 million.

The Norwalk, Connecticut-based company said it had profit of $1.07 per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 87 cents per share.

The machinery products maker posted revenue of $1.08 billion in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.07 billion.

Terex expects full-year earnings in the range of $3.80 to $4.20 per share, with revenue in the range of $4.1 billion to $4.3 billion.
