Hawaiian Holdings: 3Q Earnings Snapshot
HONOLULU (AP) _ Hawaiian Holdings Inc. (HA) on Tuesday reported a third-quarter loss of $97.1 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Honolulu-based company said it had a loss of $2.11 per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were $3.76 per share.
The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of $3.56 per share.
The parent company of Hawaiian Airlines posted revenue of $76 million in the period, which also did not meet Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $106.8 million.
Hawaiian Holdings shares have declined 50% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $14.70, a fall of 48% in the last 12 months.
