Peach Announces Lineup For July Festival

December 15, 2018 GMT

The Peach Music Festival, a four-day gathering of jam bands at Montage Mountain in late July, announced its much-anticipated lineup today.

Phil Lesh, a founding member of the Grateful Dead, headlines this year’s event with his band Phil Lesh and Friends. In a twist, his band will be joined by Warren Haynes, a Peach regular, and John Scofield.

The Trey Anastasio Band makes a return appearance for two sets, and Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, which debuted as a headliner last year, is back for two sets.

Other Peach veterans returning to the mountain are moe., Blues Traveler and the funk outfit Pigeons Playing Ping Pong. While local bluegrass band Cabinet is no longer together - at least full time - two founding members, Patrick and J.P. Biondo, will be performing together as Pappy and JP.

The lineup does have a little bit of a bluegrass feel. Greensky Bluegrass, which once performed at the mountain as part of the Cabinet-hosted Susquehhanna Breakdown, will be there, as will Yonder Mountain String Band and the Infamous Stringdusters.

The event runs July 25-28.
