CMA NOMINEES: Chris Stapleton leads the list of nominees for the 52nd annual CMA Awards with a total of five, including Entertainer, Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year for From A Room: Volume 2, and Single and Song of the Year for “Broken Halos.” Luke Bryan, Dan + Shay and Sugarland announced the nominees live on Good Morning America Tuesday, Aug. 21, from Luke’s 32 Bridge Food + Drink in Nashville.

The 2018 CMA Awards will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, Nov. 14 featured on ABC.

GARTH BROOK TRIPLE LIVE: Garth Brooks officially announced some news about his new album as well as details about his upcoming Saturday, Oct. 20, concert at Notre Dame Stadium. For starters, the new live project, called Triple Live, is a threedisc project featuring 26 songs, and while he still hasn’t revealed a release date, he said that a limited number of Triple Live albums would be available to download for free last night with a special download code on Garth’s Facebook page, exclusively through Ticketmaster.

Garth calls the free download the “fan-mix” because the sound mix allows the listener to choose how it’s heard. By adjusting speaker or headphone settings, fans can either sit in the middle of thousands of voices singing every word or be right up on stage, hearing the concert the way the band does. The songs were recorded over the 3.5 years the Garth Brooks World Tour with Trisha Yearwood was on the road, dating back to 2014.

TOP COUNTRY BILLBOARD AIRPLAY: Jason Aldean takes the top spot on the

Billboard Country Airplay for a second week and claims this week’s Number One position on the Mediabase/Country Aircheck singles chart with his 21st career Number One single “Drowns the Whiskey” featuring Miranda Lambert. The song follows Jason’s platinum-selling chart-topper, “You Make It Easy.”

UPCOMING TOUR: Sara Evans is returning to the road for another round of her limited-engagement “At Christmas” tour, with festive shows created to get fans of all ages into the spirit of the season. Tickets are available starting Friday at SaraEvans.com. Sara will be joined by California country trio Fairground Saints on all shows. The run kicks off on Saturday, Nov. 24, in Cincinnati, OH. There is also a Friday, Dec.7, performance at the People’s Bank Theater in Marietta, Ohio. “At Christmas” is Sara’s first full-length Christmas recording that was released in 2014. The 10-song collection features well-known holiday classics including “Silent Night,” “Winter Wonderland,” “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” and “O Come All Ye Faithful.”
