Listen: The Artisanals recorded in the same studio as David Bowie, Coldplay and Dave Grohl

September 8, 2017 GMT

This week on Charleston Scene’s music podcast, The Fringe, we talk to Charleston folk rock band The Artisanals about their new EP and fall tour. There is an interview with members Johnny Delaware and Clay Houle, an exclusive premiere of “Pound the Rock” and a live recording of “Angel 42.”

Delaware and Houle discuss recording in The Magic Shop Studio, the same place David Bowie, Coldplay, Dave Grohl, Arcade Fire and more have recorded albums. They also tell us more about a feature with Paste Magazine and an upcoming fall tour, which will include dates with Band of Horses and J Rodney Walston & the Business.

Before we cut to the chase, though, you’ll hear more about Taylor Swift’s latest music video, Charleston Scene’s new collaboration with B-Side Sessions and fun performances coming up from Charleston orchestras.

There will also be two brand new songs from South Carolina bands See Water and Brother Oliver.
