BULLHEAD CITY — A Bullhead City fire investigator is looking into a garage fire that broke out early Thursday morning.
Just before 1 a.m., crews responded to a report of a possible structure fire in the 2700 block of Sidewheel Drive.
Firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from the inside garage wall near the main electrical panel, department spokeswoman Lori Viles said.
Crews began to open up the wall and discovered an area that had been on fire.
Personnel found light smoke in the attic, but no active flames. The wall appeared to have sustained some water damage coming from a melted water line, she said. The leak may have extinguished the flames.
The homeowner was at home when the incident occurred and said that he had come outside to find smoke in his garage and water flowing.
Medics treated one patient at the scene for an unrelated medical issue; that patient was not taken to the hospital, Viles said.
