KYLE WAYNE BIRD SR.

KYLE WAYNE BIRD SR., 68, of Milton, passed away January 9,2018, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington. Kyle will be remembered as a man who loved to help people; if there was a way for him to help, he would be there. He retired from Cabell County Schools with 37 years of service as a custodian. Kyle was a very talented man. He wrote poetry and loved to be outside, especially fishing. His family will miss his sweet smile and gentle nature. Kyle is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Arle-na Bird. On February 14, 2018, they would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. He is also survived by his children, Pamela Jean McComas and her husband Joe McComas Jr. of Salt Rock and Kyle Wayne Bird Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Milton; granddaughter, Chelsea Smith (Jeff); great-grandson, Grayson, and two step-great-grandchildren, Noah and Dylan. Funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, January 14, 2018, at Chapman Funeral Home, Hurricane, with Elder Harold Johnson and Elder Lewis Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Forest Memorial Park, Milton.
