Early morning medical emergency on I-95 in Greenwich
GREENWICH — State police and Greenwich paramedics responded to an unusual call at 2 a.m. Monday on Interstate 95 — a medical emergency with a stricken man lying in the highway median.
According to State Police spokeswoman Trooper Kelly Grant, “We responded to a medical assist, there was a person lying in the median. The vehicle pulled over for a medical emergency.”
The man, who was alive when medical personnel reached him, was taken to an area hospital.
The incident took place between exit 2 and 3 in the northbound lanes. The left lane was closed with the emergency personnel rendered assistance.
Police said the man was not a pedestrian.
