Statewide Pro-Cannabis Rally set for Saturday
BECKLEY - The West Virginia Statewide Pro-Cannabis Rally is set for Saturday, April 21, in Beckley, Buckhannon, Lewisburg, Morgantown and Parkersburg.
The events will include political leaders such as W.Va. State Sen. Richard Ojeda, personal testimonials and musical performances.
The statewide rally is an outgrowth of the medical marijuana movement, according to a news release. The rally’s mission is “to educate our fellow mountaineers on the medicinal and societal benefits of medical cannabis. We are advocates for patients with a wide range of medical conditions who can benefit from medicinal cannabis and live a better quality of life without having to rely on opioids and other harsh pharmaceuticals.”
The Beckley event is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Word Park.
Ojeda is scheduled to attend the Lewisburg event. For more information, visit the Facebook page WV Green is the New Black.
