Motorcyclist dies in hit-and-run in Wichita; suspect sought
WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — Wichita police are searching for the driver of an SUV who hit and killed a motorcyclist before fleeing the scene.
Kenneth Ballinger, 37, of Derby, was killed in the collision Wednesday night at an intersection in Wichita.
The initial investigation indicated the driver of the SUV was turning at the intersection when the collision occurred, police said.
Police said the black SUV might have damage to its front right corner.
KWCH reports Ballinger was a music promoter who owned two venues, Barleycorns and the Elbow Room.
