CenterPoint: 4Q Earnings Snapshot
HOUSTON (AP) _ CenterPoint Energy Inc. (CNP) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter earnings of $200 million.
The Houston-based company said it had net income of 27 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 29 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 23 cents per share.
The energy delivery company posted revenue of $2.05 billion in the period.
For the year, the company reported a loss of $773 million, or $1.79 per share, swinging to a loss in the period. Revenue was reported as $7.42 billion.
CenterPoint shares have dropped roughly 4% since the beginning of the year, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 index has risen 4.5%. The stock has dropped 17% in the last 12 months.
