ANGOLA, Ind. (AP) — A northeastern Indiana died when he crashed his snowmobile into a creek, Indiana conservation officers said Monday.

About 5 p.m. Sunday, the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office was contacted and requested to help locate Adam Fifield, 34, of Angola. Fifield had been missing for approximately 90 minutes after leaving a home in Hudson on a snowmobile and failing to arrive at his destination.

A search of the area where Fifield had last been seen and was traveling through was unsuccessful.

Around 10:45 p.m., authorities were notified that family members had located Fifield and an accident scene in a creek. Despite efforts to resuscitate him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
