PADUCAH, Ky. (AP) — The remains of a sailor who was killed in the attack on Pearl Harbor will be laid to rest Friday at a cemetery in Paducah, the office of Gov. Andy Beshear said in a statement.

Navy Fireman 2nd Class Hal J. Allison, 21, was assigned to the USS Oklahoma. Allison and 428 other crewmen died when the battleship was attacked on Dec. 7, 1941.

Beshear has ordered flags at all state buildings to be lowered to half staff Friday in Allison’s honor.

Allison initially was declared missing in action and later declared missing at sea and presumed dead. His remains were identified last October.
