Officials: Body of man pulled from northeastern Kansas lake
MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) — A search team has pulled the body of a man from a lake in northeastern Kansas after nearly 10 hours of searching, authorities there said.
The man’s body was found late Wednesday in Tuttle Creek Lake, the Riley County Police Department said in a news release. Authorities were called to the lake around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday after someone found a vehicle and clothes near the shoreline of the lake.
The man was identified Friday as 24-year-old Okheem Riley. Fort Riley officials say Riley was a First Lieutenant from the 1st Sustainment Brigade and had served at the Fort since 2018.
Riley County police say the investigation into his death is continuing but foul play is not suspected.
