Bob and Nancy Burt celebrate 70th wedding anniversary
Seventy years ago on March 11, 1947, Robert H. Burt and Nancy Jean Dixon (Burt) were married in Idaho Falls at the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
They will be honored by their children, Van, LaWanna, Teresa, Sharee, Dean, Keenan, and Yvette, at a SURPRISE no host dinner at the Golden Coral in Pocatello from 2 to 4 p.m. in the afternoon on March 4.
Bob and Nancy raised their children in McCammon and Pocatello. Bob worked at Simplot a total of 29 years at the Gaye Mines. Nancy worked in many nursing homes as a nurses aid and dietician, while raising and taking care of 7 children.
In 1977, they moved to Colville, Washington with Sharee, Keenan, and Yvette, while Dean was serving a mission in Albuquerque. Their oldest son, Van, also served a mission in the British South LDS Mission.
In 1995, they moved back to Idaho and we are glad to have them close. Please join us at the Golden Coral between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on this special occasion. It will be on March 4, a week early and remember, it’s a surprise!
