Mark Twain Library collecting food at book fair
Visitors to the Mark Twain Library Book Fair can help replenish the Redding food pantry by bringing some needed items.
A collection table will be set up near the front entrance of the Community Center for the duration of the sale, which runs from Friday through Monday.
The most needed items are ground coffee, tea, vinegars, gluten-free pasta, pasta sauce, instant rice, cereals other than Cheerios, canned fruit, low-sugar jelly and cooking oils, such as canola, vegetable and olive.
There is also a need for toiletry and household items. Grocery store gift cards, cash and check donations are also welcomed.
The donation effort is organized by retired librarian Jean Taylor.
