Built in 2005, 6 Raymond St. in Old Greenwich has been listed for sale. Dale Morrison of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices is representing the sellers. Together, they’ve priced the property at $3.675 million.

The seller recalled what “spoke to” them about the property when they were the home hunters back in 2013: “It was the location and ease of living that spoke to us. The property was turnkey and ideal for young families. It is close to town, the Old Greenwich School, and a walk to the beach. … The large playroom, the private yard, the second-floor laundry and all en-suite bedrooms sealed the deal.”

The 11-room colonial, designed by architect Steven Mueller, affords 5,418 square feet of living space, with three fully finished levels, five bedrooms and five full and two partial baths.

Since the home was relatively new when the homeowners acquired it, the house and grounds required little modification. But they did make a few improvements to it during their time here — leaving their own fingerprint on the property, as they say.

“There is a new whole-house generator that switches on so seamlessly, we don’t notice if the power goes out during a storm,” the seller noted. “It runs absolutely everything!”

The home also has a new Buderus-brand hot water heater, new fencing and a repaved driveway, new statuary marble countertops in the kitchen and an electric fence.

The 14-by-30-foot gunite pool was added in 2016 and it has automatic pool covers.

“The pool is an absolute pleasure in the summer and maintenance free thanks to the automatic pool cover,” the seller said.

The “outdoor living space” manifests in an expansive pool terrace — “perfect for parties and entertaining right off the pool,” the seller pointed out — and the home’s covered porch. “I spend many hours there reading and soaking up the private yard. An absolute pleasure.”

The sellers have also added some carpentry elements to the interiors.

“We’ve upgraded some of the kitchen cabinetry to reflect more modern tastes,” the seller continued. “We installed storage cabinetry throughout the playroom. We added built-in cabinetry to the mudroom.”

To keep the landscaping lush, they’ve installed a new sprinkler system and drip hoses.

The layout of the home begins on the first level, with a formal living room with a fireplace; a formal dining room with paneled walls; a den, family room, and an eat-in kitchen with island seating and space for a breakfast table.

The second level is where the master bedroom suite and three other en-suite bedrooms are located. The master suite is a dramatic space with a high peaked ceiling, fireplace and room for seating in the bedroom.

Finally, the lower level comprises the fifth bedroom and a media room.

The homeowners of 6 Raymond St. have enjoyed the convenient location and neighborhood setting.

“It is the ideal family home,” the seller suggested. She added that it is notably close to the train, local schools, places of worship and to the beach — all within walking distance.

“Old Greenwich is a charming Village, reminiscent of old New England towns up and down the coast. … We particularly enjoy the parade on Memorial Day, which passes our house, and Halloween, when our house becomes the meeting point for friends from all over Greenwich, who come to ‘trick-or-treat’ and celebrate with us. As our children have begun leaving the nest, we look to our next chapter. We will miss this friendly, heartwarming slice of small-town goodness,” the homeowner concluded.
