March 6, 2017 GMT

POCATELLO - A suicide-loss, survivors support group meets every second and fourth Thursday of each month. This is a free peer group, open to the public, informal, casual, bring own non-alcohol drink. It is from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m at Mental Health Specialists, 210 W. Burnside, Chubbuck. For more information call, 208-238-9000. The group is hosted by Deborah Aubrey, Ph.D., and Garren Aubrey, LSW. The support meeting is for suicide-loss survivors, their families, and friends. People with this loss often find themselves isolated, apart from their usual support system. The grief process can be “complicated” and lengthy. The group provides a safe, confidential, non-judgmental place to have and discuss the on-going impacts and losses that occur with deaths by suicide. We promote recovery and healthy though support, education, and referral to community and other resources. Please contact Garren Aubrey by phone before attending the meeting for the first time. This group does not provide crisis intervention. If you are in crisis or have concern about a loved one, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255, call your private health care provider, or go to or take your loved one to the local hospital emergency room.
