JACK JEFFERY, 64, of Barboursville, W.Va., passed away Thursday, October 26, 2017, at Health South Rehabilitation Hospital. Jack was born November 20, 1952, in Logan, W.Va. He was preceded in death by his parents, Silas Jeffery and Dora Damron-Jeffery of Logan, and stepson, Justin Wilburn of Barboursville. He retired from Mildred Mitchell Bateman Hospital in 2010 as a member of the maintenance department. Jack attended Norway Avenue Church of Christ. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Bow-en Wilburn Jeffery; daughter, Tina Jeffery Schrock and her husband Terry of Milton, W.Va.; stepson, Shane Wilburn and his wife Kelly of Charleston, S.C.; six grandchildren, Emily Thevenin, Jaelyn Schrock, Ella Wilburn, Cody Wilburn, Cayleigh Wilburn and Emery Wilburn. He also leaves behind his best furry-friend, Maggie, and two special pals, Steve Day and Jack Humphrey. Jack loved his family with every beat of his heart, and his grandchildren were what made that loving heart beat. He made it known that it was his duty to spoil them in every way. Jack and his wife shared two passions, boating at Beech Fork and “The Walking Dead,” two things they couldn’t get enough of. He also loved to throw a line in the water and sit in his swing and watch the dogs play. He was a character, to say the least, and if he wasn’t picking on you, he probably didn’t like you. He will be remembered for his loyalty, devotion and humor. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, October 28, 2017, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville.
