TUSCON, Ariz. -- Cam Climo (Billerica) connected on a two-run home run in each game, but Arizona was able to complete the doubleheader sweep against the UMass Lowell baseball team, taking the two contests by scores of 18-4 and 19-4, respectively.

The junior continued his hot start on the season with four hits, five runs driven in and scored twice on the two long balls.

In game one, the Wildcats (3-0) jumped out to a quick lead with 10 runs in the first and kept the River Hawks (0-3) off the board until the fourth inning.

UMass Lowell was able to load the bases in the frame and Climo picked up his first RBI on the day with a sac fly. Vinnie Martin singled home the second run three pitches later to take advantage of the situation.

Climo’s first homer came with one out in the sixth, scoring Oscar Marchena’s second run of the game.

In the second game, Climo did not wait long to get on the board in the night cap as he belted the River Hawks to a 2-0 lead in the first on the first pitch he saw, scoring Marchena again.

Arizona took a 4-2 lead with three runs in the third, and added another three in the fourth to create some breathing room.

Climo singled home another run in the fifth, but Marchena was able to score following an error in right field. Freshman Robert Gallagher recorded his first career RBI to score fellow freshman Matt DeBenedetto in the ninth.
