Humans have role in preserving planet -- Richard Nawratil
The author of Wednesday’s letter to the editor ” Humans can’t control climate change ” need only look at the smog problems of Southern California in the 1950s and ’60s.
With the introduction of smog control on autos, both of which are human inventions, the problem has been greatly reduced. No one implies that we can stop volcanoes and hurricanes, but we can control some things, such as limiting Freon gas damaging the ozone layer.
Putting your head in the sand won’t solve anything. Listening to climate scientists who actually study this instead of believing politicians who are in it for the money is the first step in saving our planet.
