A 49-year-old Manistee man died after driving his 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass into an oncoming 1999 Chevrolet Suburban driven by a 24-year-old Onekama man. The Onekama man had his 4-year-old son in the car, but both only suffered minor injuries and were released from West Shore Medical Center.
According to the Manistee County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred around 9 p.m. Wednesday when an unknown vehicle pulled out of Big Al’s parking lot in Manistee Township.
