Man accused of street racing, deadly wreck is sent to prison
MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) — Authorities say a man who was street racing when he got into a deadly collision with another vehicle has been sentenced to prison.
George Kevin Cambi, 21, was sentenced Wednesday to 15 years in prison and ordered to serve 10, according to terms of a plea deal, The Cobb County District Attorney’s Office said.
The crash happened in April 2019 in the Austell area, killing two people in a vehicle not involved in the race, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. Killed in the collision were James Wheeler, 31, of Acworth, and his passenger, Douglas Duff Jr., 35, of Mableton.
