AFFTON, Mo. (AP) — St. Louis County police say the two people who died when an SUV struck an apartment building were a father and son.

Police on Tuesday identified the victims as 59-year-old Paul Eckhoff and his 10-year-old son, Colin. They lived in Fenton.

The accident happened just before 8 a.m. Monday when a Nissan Xterra ran off Gravois Road and struck the building in south St. Louis County. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

No one in the apartment building was hurt.
