Norfolk Police seeking public’s help in vandalism case
NORFOLK - The Norfolk Police Division is seeking the public’s help involving some vandalism incidents.
According to Captain Mike Bauer, over the past six months, Norfolk Police has taken several vandalism reports involving motor oil.
Bauer says all of these reports were of a black motor oil, tarry substance that was stored in glass jars.
The perpetrator would then throw and break the jar against a business sign, or in a business parking lot causing the substance to damage the surface of what it came in contact with.
Many of the incidents occurred on East Norfolk Avenue, and the Police Division is asking the public’s help in stopping this activity and would ask that anyone with information about this to contact the Nebraska Crime Stoppers Tip line at 800-422-1494.
Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for cash rewards.
