About the ThunderBirds: Springfield is in a tight battle for sixth place in the Atlantic Division at 32-34-5-2. Goaltender Harri Sateri was named the AHL’s Player of the Week on Monday after stopping 82 of 84 shots over three games from April 2-8. Anthony Greco is the team’s scoring leader with 29 goals, while Curtis Valk is tied for 11th in the league with 59 points. The ThunderBirds will test the Penguins’ suddenly surgung power play, as they rank first in the Atlantic on the penalty kill at 84.1 percent. Saturday’s game Opponent: Lehigh Valley Phantoms When: 7:05 p.m. Where: PPL Center Season series: Lehigh Valley has won six of 11 matchups between the teams. About the Phantoms: Lehigh Valley has already clinched home-ice advantage through the first two rounds of the playoffs by winning the Atlantic Division. After being red-hot throughout March, the Phantoms have cooled off with only five wins in 10 games. Goaltender Dustin Tokarski was recalled by the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday for their first playoff game, but returned to the AHL the following day. The Phantoms are tied with Charlotte for most goals in the league at 253; Greg Carey leads the team with 31. Sunday’s game Opponent: Hershey Bears When: 5 p.m. Where: Giant Center Season series: The Penguins have won nine of 11 games between the teams. About the Bears: Hershey has lost seven of 10 games and sits last in the Atlantic at 29-36-4-5. Its offense is also the division’s worst. Veteran forward Chris Bourque moved into seventh place on the team’s all-time scoring list last weekend with 195 goals. The Penguins have dominated goaltender Pheonix Copley this season, handing him five losses in six starts and forcing him to be pulled from the net in their last contest.
