‘What in the World’ Lecture Series

What: Dr. Lester Pittman will lead a weekly discussion on world history and current events based on the book and BBC video series, “Civilization: The West and the Rest,” by historian Niall Ferguson. Discussions will compare the modern history of Europe, China, the Middle East, Japan, Africa, the United States, and Latin America as well as the roots of modernization and the impact of globalization.
