Commissioners will discuss medical services at meeting
The Lincoln County Commissioners will once again discuss emergency medical services for rural areas at their Monday meeting.
The commissioners must determine whether an emergency medical service is needed for areas outside the limits of incorporated cities. If so, the county can then enter into interlocal agreements with public agencies in those areas to provide ambulance service.
Interlocal agreements would involve the city of North Platte; the villages of Sutherland, Maxwell and Brady; and rural fire departments of North Platte, Sutherland, Stapleton, Maywood-Wellfleet, Maxwell, Hershey, Gothenburg, Farnam, Curtis, Brady, Wallace and Arnold. The board will consider resolutions needed to enter into these agreements.
The commissioners will also discuss giving the Lincoln County Attorney’s Office direction in drafting a resolution to establish a security committee for the county.
