City Council to vote on bids for pickup truck and digger
The city of North Platte’s electric department could see two new vehicles after Tuesday’s City Council meeting.
At the meeting, the council will vote on a $25,750 bid for a 4X4 crew cab pickup from Janssen Auto Group. The pickup is a 2018 ½-ton.
The meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. in the city council chambers at North Platte City Hall, 211 W. Third St.
The city council also vote on a bid for a 2018 55-foot Digger Derrick for the electric department. If approved, the Digger Derrick would be mounted on a 2018 cab, and the bid would go to Altec Industries Inc., costing $233,523.
As the board of equalization, the council will vote on a schedule of benefits for sanitary sewer connection, beginning at the intersection of Walker Road and Echo Drive, and going about 680 feet south of there.
The council will also vote on the first reading of vacating lot one of the Eagle Dancer Administrative Subdivision, located in the U Save replat.
The council will hear the second of three readings to rezone land located at 2378 West South River Road from an agricultural district to highway commercial district.
Two licenses are also on the agenda, as the council will consider a license for reconstruction at the Casey’s General Store at 1401 E. Fourth St., and a special designated license for Mid Plains Food and Lodging Inc., for an MMA event at the D&N Event Center on March 17.
