Brookfield students to shave hair to fight cancer
BROOKFIELD - Students and staff will shave their heads to raise money and awareness for cancer research at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Brookfield High School.
The school will host a “shave night” to benefit the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, an organization dedicated to fighting childhood cancer. The event was scheduled for earlier this month, but postponed because of snow.
More than 20 people, including Superintendent John Barile, have signed up to shave their hair.
The school has raised nearly $9,000 and hopes to raise $10,000. To donate, visit https://www.stbaldricks.org/events/mypage/12379/2017.
