Emergency Shelter From Cold Available In Scranton

SCRANTON — With frigid temperatures forecast tonight into Saturday, the Lackawanna County commissioners remind homeless individuals that there are places where they can find refuge from the cold. Emergency shelter can been accessed at three locations in Scranton, according to county officials: — Keystone Mission, Weston Field House, 982 Providence Road. Doors open at 9 p.m. — St. Anthony’s Haven, 409 Olive St. Hours: 7:30 p.m. to 8 a.m. — Community Intervention Center, 445 N. 6th Ave. Hours: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Shelters in Luzerne County inlcude: — Mother Teresa’s Haven, St. Stanislaus, Family Center, 141 Old Newport Street, Newport Township — Divine Providence Shelter, 214 W.
