Report: Woman threatens to kill daughter with a kitchen knife
A Rome woman was in jail without bond Friday after being accused of threatening to kill her daughter with a kitchen knife.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Veronica Marlene Vance, 49, of 21 Fortune St., was arrested Thursday. While at her home Dec. 7, around 8:15 p.m., she threatened her daughter in the presence of two of her grandchildren. She also used the kitchen knife to cause an estimated $500 in damages to her daughter’s vehicle.
Vance is charged with felony aggravated assault and terroristic threats and acts, both under the Family Violence Act. She is also charged with two counts of misdemeanor cruelty to children in the third degree and criminal trespass, which is also under the FVA.
