Custer County Salvation Army is in need of bell ringers through Dec. 24.

Volunteers ring bells at retail locations near the staple “Red Kettle” to gather donations to help those in need. Personnel with the Custer County Salvation Army describe the bell ringing as a great volunteer opportunity for individuals, groups, families and businesses. In a flier seeking bell ringers, Custer County’s Salvation Army also welcomes children.

Of the funds raised through Dec. 24, 90 percent of them will stay in Custer County, according to the flier.
