National Weather issues wind advisory running from late afternoon Thursday to early Friday morning

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory running from 4 p.m. Thursday to 4 a.m. Friday.

The advisory includes Sandusky, Erie, Lorain, Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, Huron, Summit and Holmes counties.

The advisory predicts winds with gusts of 45 to 50 miles per hour, which can lead to lightweight objects being blown around and a few downed branches and power lines.

A wind advisory is issued for sustained winds of 31 to 39 mph or gusts between 46 and 57 mph.

FRIDAY...

The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a Wind

Advisory, which is in effect from 4 PM this afternoon to 4 AM EST

Friday.

* Winds...gusts of 45 to 50 mph. Winds initially from the

northeast then from the north and then northwest.

* Timing...starting late this afternoon or early evening into

tonight.

* Impacts...lightweight objects can be blown around. A few branches

and power lines can be downed.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory is issued for sustained winds of 31 to 39 mph or

gusts between 46 and 57 mph. Winds of this magnitude can cause

minor property damage without extra precautions. Motorists should

use caution especially motorists in high profile vehicles.
